About the Author
David Phillips graduated with an MA in fine art from the Royal College of Art and later studied architecture at London South Bank University. He has worked for a number of leading architecture and design companies in the UK. Currently he is a senior lecturer in design at the University of the Arts London.
Megumi Yamashita is a journalist writing about architecture and design for various publishers in both the UK and Japan.

For architects and archi students

A great look inside some of the connections and construction inside some interesting buildings. Obviously for building professionals and students this is my favourite book in the "Detail in" series of books. Some good projects to be detailed out.

This is a greatly detailed study of contemporary concrete uses in architecture. From complicated to the most simplest hidden details are revealed in this very elaborate case study book.

Its a book for civil engineers and architects only

This book is Not about the Design and architecture but Explains how to get it done and what should be used and where.
So basically there is the structure and a couple of pictures of it. then there is a floor plan ( to scale) and finally the materials of the structure With the diagram of the structure in detail.
So u you don't just see the design BUT also know the materials he had built it with. You can actually relate it to another project and not wonder about the materials to be used then
